The Perfect Staycation to Unwind With Your Partner

Summertime seems to go by a little quicker each year. If you are feeling like you need one last fun memory this summer and want to save money, don’t have a lot of time to travel, or have obligations that are keeping you in town, a staycation might just do the trick.

Staycations are becoming more popular and can help you enjoy some of the simple things in life you may not get to enjoy everyday.

Try new things in your town

An easy thing to do would be a Netflix marathon but let’s be real, you can do this any weekend, so look up a local spa and book a couples massage. Getting a massage will help you decompress, relax and get your mind and body in an emotionally sound place.

Find a dinner spot you have never been and check it out. Go in with no time frame in mind, enjoy each others company and really savor the food. If they have a patio or outdoor seating, sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Check out a local museum you have never been too, or an art exhibit, even the local farmer’s market. Even if this is something you normally wouldn’t do, that is the purpose of this staycation, to experience new things near you and get out.

Hit the local hot spots

Are there any local wineries in your area? Get online and check it out, if so take a tour and try some samples. If wine is not your thing, are there any breweries or distilleries? This can turn into a fun day and end in you finding new things you might like but have never tried before.

Cooking classes are quite popular right now so this may not work for a spur of the moment staycation but its worth a shot. Call to see if there are any openings in the class and go into it with no expectations other than to have fun.

Live music might just surprise you too. Musicians and live music is definitely popular right now and is something that can help you relax and unwind.

There are many other options for an adults only staycation, these are just a few to get you started.

Don’t worry about dishes, laundry, cleaning or any housework. The purpose of a staycation is to relax. Put your phones away too, better yet shut them off so there is no temptation. Everyone needs time to relax and a staycation might be the perfect opportunity for you to do just that.
